Falcons open season in their nest

The Woody Gap Falcons and Lady Falcons basketball teams opened their season over the weekend, playing a pair of home games against non-varsity squads from Rabun County and Fannin County.
The Lady Falcons were outscored 48-19 against the Lady Wildcats of Rabun County. Amanda Pickelsimer led the team with 10 points. Leah Twitt added 3, Kayla Parks and Kayla Langston each had 2, and Jenniffer Harry and Kayce Young had 1 point each.
Against Fannin County the Lady Rebels prevailed 47-12. Pickelsimer had 4 points while Young added 3, Tvitt and Kelly Cole had 2 each, and Parks had 1 point.
