Ernest Earl Rogers

Mr. Ernest Earl Rogers, 64, of Richard Russell Hwy., Blairsville, Ga., died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 at his home following an extended illness.

Mr. Rogers was born July 7, 1942 in Towns County, Ga., the son of the late Ezekiel Mason Rogers and the late Ruby Nicholson Rogers. He was a lifelong resident of Union County. Mr. Rogers was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Rogers is his loving wife of 37 years, Judy Hood Rogers of Blairsville; sons and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Wendy Rogers of Blairsville, Wade Rogers of Blairsville; sister, Marilyn Dyer of Blairsville; mother in-law, Bonnie Hood of Blairsville; grandson, Ryan Rogers of Blairsville; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 1, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with

the Rev. Ken Zollinger

and Rev. Dick Stillwell

officiating. Pallbearers were

Rodney Manus, Richard Corn, Craig Roberts, Donnie Lee, Robert Miller and Jimmy Spiva. Interment followed in the Choestoe Baptist Church Cemetery.
