Bluford Marion Dyer

Mr. Bluford Marion Dyer, 73, of Blairsville, Ga., died Friday, December 1, 2006 at Embracing Arms Hospice in Snellville.

Mr. Dyer was born Sunday, November 26, 1933 in Union County, Ga., to the late Marion Jewell Dyer and the late Azie Collins Dyer. Mr. Dyer was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blairsville. He was a farmer and had also served for many years on the ASCS board. Mr. Dyer was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Jo Shook Dyer in 2004.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Jounida and Keith Porter of Jefferson, Ga., Gail and Wayne Hedden of Blairsville; sisters, Ethelene Dyer Jones of Milledgeville, Ga., Louise Dyer of Commerce, Ga., and Linda Fortenberry, Brenda Murphy and Janice Lance, all of Blairsville; brothers, Eugene Dyer, Lloyd Shelton and Troy Dyer, all of Blairsville; grandchildren, Luke Hedden, Leslie Hedden, Blaze Porter and Sky Porter; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and

friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 3, 2006 at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home of

Blairsville with Rev. Keith

Jones officiating. A

Eulogy was provided by

Mr. Bob Gibby. Music was provided by Minister R. Terry Hooper and Ryan

Showalter. Interment followed in the Choestoe Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Blaze Porter, Sky Porter, Luke Hedden, Marty Gibby, Sylvan Dyer and A.J. Shook.
