Local Social Security office moves

Individuals who need to visit the Gainesville Social Security office will soon do so at a new location. The local SSA office will move from 1865 Thompson Bridge Road just a mile down the road to the new location 2565 Thompson Bridge Road, located in the Rubicon building, suite 210. SSA will be open to the public at the new location on Monday, December 18, 2006. The office is very happy

with the larger space at their new facility. Because the service area has grown, our agency is committed to our customers in providing a comfortable environment for the people it serves and its employees. The new building space will be home for 32 employees.

Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Before visiting the office, you can check out our

You can also call the Social Security toll-free number at 1-800-772-1213 or 1- 800-325-0778 (TTY) from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to take care of most of your Social Security business or to make an appointment to see a representative in the Gainesville office.
