Ruby Sybil Chambers
Mrs. Chambers was born July 26,1923 in Union County, the daughter of the late Rass Morgan and the late Mary Daniel Morgan. She was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. She and her husband owned and operated the Chambers Slaughter House for over thirty five years.Mrs.Chambers was a member of the Antioch Baptist church. Surviving Mrs. Chambers is her loving husband of 62 years, Vernon Chambers of Blairsville; son and daughter-in-law, James (Yeona) and Ethel Chambers of Blairsville; daughter, Colean Chambers of Blairsville; grandchildren, Curtis Teague, Stacy Chambers, Billy Chambers, all of Blairsville; great granddaughter, Kameron Teague of Blairsville; many other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 24, 2006 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tommy Seay officiating. Special music was presented by Carol Renshaw and Heather Henderson. Pallbearers were Steve Brown, Glen Henderson, Michael Tate, Bruce Gray, Chuck Tyre and Stacy Chambers. Interment followed in the Ivy Log Baptist Church cemetery.
