Southern Sports Club

The Southern Sports Club a newly formed club will be offering opportunities for Girls from 9-16 to play sports on the next level. The club will be only offering Fast pitch softball this year, however they will be offering Volleyball and Tennis in the near future.

Mark Hughes organized the club. "I see so many girls that need to be playing at the next level and have no way to get there, That's why I decided to start a club to give these girls an opportunity to go to the next step," said Coach Hughes.

The club will be playing a travel schedule and hope to play about 50 or 60 game starting in Mid February. I have worked hard with some major companies to get the costs way down. Right now it looks like each player will only have to pay $300 for the season. This fee will get the player a Uniform, Tanel 360 Cleats, Bat bag, Helmet, Pullover and several

other Misc. softball gear. I plan on hosting a few Tournaments here in Blairsville so that the club can raise funds and the local folks can enjoy some great softball. I?m working on a Volleyball team and Tennis team hopefully that will be ready to go next spring. All coaches will be required to have a background check and will have to attend and pass a coaches training course at a local College. If anyone would like to Sponsor a Player ($100-$300) or would like a three year Sponsorship ($600) Please call Mark Hughes for details at 706-994- 4445. I would like to Thank Appalachian Bank and AppleWood Windows and Doors for their team Sponsorships. To United Community Bank for their Donations and all the parents who are working hard to make The Southern Sports Club a Success.
