Georgia Mountains Hospice celebrates November National Hospice Month

November is National Hospice Month and Georgia Mountains Hospice takes this opportunity to encourage, honor and support the professionals, volunteers, and family caregivers who take on the challenge of caring for patients at the endof life.

Georgia Mountains Hospice November event schedule in honor of National Hospice Month,

November 2nd - Grief Support Group Kickoff - Group is open to the community and will be held the first Thursday of each month in the Fred Stancil Conference Room at the Georgia Mountains Hospice office in Jasper from 10 - 11:30.

November 4th - Georgia Mountains Hospice, Hospice Holiday House - Overland Trails Heritage Log Home Model in Ellijay will be open daily for Christmas tours until Jan 6, 2007. There is no fee, but

donations will be accepted to benefit Georgia Mountains Hospice.

November 16th - Open House and Education Day - Offering information and resources to the community about issues related to palliative care. The Open House will be held in the Fred Stancil Conference Room at Georgia Mountains Hospice office in Jasper from 3 - 5pm.

November 21st - Advanced Directives Workshop - Offering information and resources to help the community make informed decisions about health care choices. Workshop will be held in the Fred Stancil Conference Room at the Georgia Mountains Hospice office in Jasper from 3 - 4:30pm
