UCB first to support Murphy Medical Center-annual giving campaign

Kevennie Westmoreland, City President of United Community Bank (center) presents a donation for Murphy Medical Center Foundation's Annual Giving Campaign to Director Jessica Dickerson and CEO Mike Stevenson. This year's campaign will support the Emergency Room expansion project to add in part additional treatment rooms and a new ambulance entrance for trauma victims.

On Thursday the Murphy Medical Center Foundation was graciously presented with its first major gift from United Community Bank in support of the hospital's Emergency Room Expansion project. United Community Bank City President Kevennie Westmoreland presented a check for $5,000 to Jessica Dickerson, Director of the Foundation and Mike Stevenson, CEO of Murphy Medical Center.

"We are delighted with United Community Bank's continued support and truly appreciate their desire to help

us kick off this campaign with such a generous gift," Dickerson said. "This year the Foundation will be raising funds to support the Emergency Room expansion project. This renovation will increase the overall space in the ER by over 40 percent, increasing the number of treatment rooms and creating new space to facilitate patient flow and emergency medical vehicle traffic. with all service providers, the better you are, the more resources i.e. - space, equipment, manpower, - are needed. It is apparent Murphy Medical Center is doing a wonderful job with health care and emergency services.
