Yacht Club treats Elementary school to a pumpkin carving
By Taylor Lott
The Yacht Club at The Ridges Resort invited the 5th grade class from Towns County Elementary School for pumpkin carving and treats. The kids were each provided with their own pumpkins and carving tools to create their personal masterpieces at the Pavilion located at The Ridges Resort. It was a great time in a great environment. Many of the kids were first time carvers, so this was a special event for them. The children were accompanied by their teachers and many employees from The Ridges participated giving the kids some one on one time. Afterwards the kids were treated to cookies and desserts created by Sireena Renner, Executive Pastry Chef for The Ridges. I spoke with Michelle Osborn the new Operation Manager for The Yacht Club, she stated , we are trying to make this a more family friendly place where people will feel comfortable bringing their kids. It is apparent to me things are changing day by day. They have new menus and lots of fun stuff to do. Many things are planned and geared around families for the holidays, so stay tuned to upcoming events. Thanks Towns County Elementary 5th graders, we had fun too!
