Wilma Weaver Allen

Mrs. Wilma Weaver Allen, 89, of Blairsville, Ga., died Sunday, October 29, 2006 in Union County Nursing Home in Blairsville.

Alifelong resident of this area, Mrs. Allen was born Tuesday, October 31, 1916 in Union County, Ga., to the late Tom Weaver and the late Iva Henderson Weaver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Allen.

Survivors include her brother, June Weaver of Blairsville; and niece, Carol Roberts of Cleveland, Ga. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Guy Bradley and Rev. Jeremy Henderson officiating. Music was provided by The Faith Singers. Interment followed in Union Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Raymond Chastain, Wymer Sampson, Charles Turner, Duff Conley, Herbert Dyer and Milton Bradley.
