Taste of Chicago brings Comedy Zone to mountains
Taylor Lott

On October 14, I popped in to Taste of Chicago Restaurant in Hiawassee to check out their new Comedy Zone show.

Dean Swanson, owner, had two great guys performing: Mark Evans from Atlanta and Kerry White from North Carolina.

They did a fabulous job and tickled our funny bones for two hours prior to the Live Entertainment that Taste of Chicago has on Friday and Saturday nights weekly.

The Comedy Zone is a new idea for Dean to add more fun and variety to the mountains. It was quite successful, and many people were in attendance for the shows that were held both Friday and Saturday nights.

This weekend, Taste of Chicago presents Tim Pulnik and Jim Holder starting at 7 p.m. The cover charge is only $10.00, and that includes comics and other live entertainment.

It is a great bargain and a fun place to be; the atmosphere is laid back and comfy. They have many things to offer including pool, darts, "open Mic night" and really great food.

They offer pizza and sandwiches, daily specials and an affordable lunch menu with prices starting under $3.00. Dean also has six TV's for all you sports fans.

So if you have not yet visited this establishment, mark this weekend on your calendar and be prepared to be entertained.

Seating is limited, but you can buy tickets in advance. While you're at the comedy show make sure you grab a bite to eat - you will be pleased you did, and the tasty comfort food will add to your evening's enjoyment.

A Taste of Chicago - in Hiawassee near the intersection of Highways 69 and 76 in the Crossroads Shopping Center. For information, you may call 706-896-8922.
