Scenes from the Fall Festival October 6-15 Hiawassee
The Hiawassee Garden Club puts on a second flower show for the Fall Festival. It is not a judged show like the Georgia Mountain Fair Standard Show.
Tigers always fascinate people and here is one of the beautiful tigers with his handler.
Tigers come in more than one color, here is a white one. You still have time to see Rosaire's tigers and lions do their tricks.
This Northern oak tree stump is 167 years old and in the future will provide many feet of board-splitting wood.
One of the craftspeople is showing a group of students how he can do tricks with pieces of wood and old timey coke bottles. Quite a magic act.
Dahlias were used in this underwater design by Betty Grimes.
The entrance to the Flower Show building is decorated for Fall like so many places in both Towns and Union counties.
Red cock's comb was used in this underwater design by Peggy West.

The Flower Show has many types of horticulture from this area, plus designs. Two of the "church" designs are shown here, created by Chris Cooney.
