Georgia Mountain Fall Festival
The temperatures have dropped and fall is in the air, which means that the Georgia Mountain Fall Festival has arrived. From
October 6 - 15, the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds will host the annual Fall Festival. A complete schedule for the second half of the event (October 12 - 15) is listed below. For additional information, visit www.GeorgiaMountainFairgrounds.com .
Thursday, October 12:
Arts & Crafts Exhibit from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Country Music Show featuring Gene Watson and Little Thunder at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Friday, October 13:
Arts & Crafts Exhibit from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
"Fiddlin" Howard Cunningham performs with the Appalachian Tunesmiths and special guest, LeRoy Troy at 2 p.m.
Music performance by LeRoy Troy at 5:30 p.m.
Georgia's Official State Fiddlers' Convention begins with performances in the fiddler, harmonica, buck dancing, dulcimer, dobro and old-time banjo categories at 7p.m.
Saturday, October 14:
Arts & Crafts Exhibit from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Georgia's Official State Fiddlers' Convention continues with competitions between senior fiddler, junior fiddler,
bluegrass band, finger style guitar, flat pick guitar,banjo and mandolin categories at 10:30 a.m.
Finalist from Saturday's completion compete to be declared the "Official State Fiddler Champion" for each category at 7 p.m.
Enjoy a "Fiddle Off" between junior fiddler and senior fiddler for the title of "Georgia Mountain Fiddle King" at 7 p.m.
Sunday, October 15:

Interfaith Worship Service at 11 a.m.
Gospel Music Show featuring The Dixie Melody Boys, Harvest and The Mark Trammell Trio at 2 p.m. Juried Arts and Crafts Show

With its mild temperatures and colorful fall foliage the North Georgia Mountains provide a perfect fall escape, and from October 6 -15, the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds will host an ideal family adventure. For these 10 days, the Fairgrounds will be filled with arts & crafts, history, music and excitement
during the annual Georgia Mountain Fall Festival. Visitors can step back in time as they tour the Fairgrounds' historic Pioneer Village, watch "old ways" demonstrations including a cider press, quilting demonstrations and corn milling, stroll along shaded pathways as they enjoy the Festival's arts & crafts show and hear first-class music performances. $8 admission ($2 parking). Children 10 years old or younger are admitted free.
All music performances are included in the admission price.
A discounted three-day FunFest Pass is also available for $20 (save $4) and is valid for any three days of the Fall Festival. It can be purchased in advance or at the gate.
