Beneficiary of luncheon

Janet and Elliott Parsowith of Blairsville making donation to the Humane Society Mountain Shelter

The Humane Society's Mountain Shelter was the happy beneficiary of a luncheon given by Janet and Elliott Parsowith of Blairsville on Sept. 22 for fellow members of the Honda Sport Touring Association. Marguerite Russell, the Humane Society's Board President attended. The Paroswiths collected over $400 in donations from the members, some of whom came from as

far away as New York, New Hampshire, Florida, Maryland and of course many were from Georgia. "This generous donation will help the Humane Society with the care and placement of animals at the shelter," Russell said. During the festivities, members of HSTA told wonderful stories of their "rescue animals" and described how much pleasure they derived from them.
