Local child fiddles his way to $100 prize

Jonathan Eernisse, son of Lee and Becky Eernisse of Young Harris, competed in the Chattahoochee Mountain Fair Talent Show in Clarkesville on Monday, September 11, 2006. The talent show, sponsored by WCON Radio of Cornelia, was open to individuals in three different age categories. Jonathan performed a fiddle tune on his violin. He placed first in the 12 and under category and received a 100 dollar bill from the sponsors. Jonathan is the grandson of Dwayne and Mary Smith of Mount Airy, GA and June Eernisse of Ruskin, Fla.
