SABA to host cookout for trail enthusiasts

The Jackrabbit campground will be the site for this years end-of-summer cookout hosted by the Southern Appalachian Bicycling Association (SABA).

This event will take place on Friday, September 29, and SABA would like to invite all trail enthusiasts to attend this informal gathering. Mike Riter, of Trail Design Specialist, will be on-site to discuss the construction currently

taking place at the Jackrabbit Mountain Bike and Hiking Trail. Mr. Riter will be discussing trail sustainability, and his vision of the Jackrabbit Trail project, allowing time for questions and suggestions. The first 3+ mile loop is nearing completion, and an additional 2-3 miles is planned for this fall/winter. If interested in attending the cookout, please contact Joanna Atkisson at 828-389-8085.
