Winged outlaw sprint cars invade Sugar Creek
By LARRY SAMS
(Blue Ridge, GA) September 11The Winged Outlaw Sprint Cars of the American Sprint Car (ASCS) Thunder Tour will flash into Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue Ridge, GA on this Friday night, September 15th.
The series, based out of Tulsa, OK will be bringing the Southern Tour to the high banks of Sugar Creek for some wild, exciting, rockin', rollin' action from these 700+ horsepower fireballs. "Cool" Colby Adams, points leader with the tour, will be trying to escape from Sugar Creek with that same points lead. But Johnny "Wild Child" Bridges has a few aces up his sleeve for "Cool" Colby as he has many, many laps around Sugar Creek and the "Cool" one has none!
One of "Wild Child'"s rookie races was running in front of the pack at Sugar Creek about ten years ago. Not only that but "Wild Child" has chauffeured some of the home folks from Blue Ridge around the Sugar Creek oval in the
back seat of a
two passenger Winged Outlaw Sprint Car so he is ready to see the five points between himself and "Cool" Colby vanish.
On Saturday night they will move to Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, NC. At Sugar Creek Raceway the gates will open at 5 p.m. with practice at 7 p.m. and the racing action starts at 8 p.m. For more information you may contact the track at (706) 632-9083.
