USDA surplus foods distribution

Ninth District Opportunity, Inc., in cooperation with local volunteers, will once again distribute USDA Surplus Foods in Union County at the Civic Center on September 28, 2006 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. while supplies last.

Commodities will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Only residents of the distributing county will be served.

Any household whose gross income is below 130% poverty level is eligible for this program. A household consisting of three people can make up to $1,744 per month.

Booth space is also available for agencies and organizations wishing to provide information on additional services that attendees may qualify for. For details concerning the
