Fall Festival of Community Services

A fall Festival of Community Services will be held on Saturday, September 30 form 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Hwy 515 next to CVS Pharmacy in Blairsville. The Festival will be fun and informative for the whole family with exhibits, entertainment, prizes, give-aways, animals on display, refreshments and more.

The Festival is being sponsored by the Union County Interagency Group (UCIG) comprised of various

agencies, ministries, businesses, civic groups and individuals interested in making comprehensive service information and resources on health, education and well-being available to all Union County citizens.

In addition to the many vendors who will have information, exhibits, demonstrations, prizes and give-aways, there will be continuous entertainment. Among the most

popular give-aways provided by the UCIG each year are bicycle helmets. However, there are a limited number of these available, so come early to be sure to get one. The vendors give away candy, cookies, fruit, useful promotional items and interesting trinkets.

It is not too late to be a vendor. If you are interested in show-casing your service agency, business, organization or civic group at the

Fall Festival, contact Kathy Carter Adams at 745-5565 for an application.

UCIG has compiled a master resource list of community services that will be distributed at the festival. UCIG meets the second Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Civic Center. To find out more about UCIG, visit our website at www.ucig.org.
