Local theater closes doors

Bald Mountain Cinemas stands empty after closing its doors on August 31, 2006.

As of August 31, 2006, Bald Mountain Cinemas of Blairsville closed its doors to the public, leaving Fieldstone Cinemas Six as the closest movie theater for Union County residents.

Terry Morrison purchased the business several years later. He said he appreciated the support from local residents over the years. Said Morrison, "I would like to thank everyone for their patronage." The property is now for sale for commercial use through Re/Max Enotah Realty.
