Burks/Schrote win Regional Racketball Doubles Title

Congratulations to Andrew Burks and Robert Schroter, both of Blairsville, for sweeping the Outback Shoes for Homeless Regional Doubles Tournament. This was a very challenging tournament held at the Concourse Athletic Club in Atlanta, August 25-27. This was their first time competing together and they make quite a team. They won their matches on

Friday and Saturday placing them in the finals on Sunday which they won 15-14, 14-15, 11-0. Andy and Rob were proudly sponsored by the Blue Ridge Mountain Fitness Club, of which they are both active members. They have plans to continue tournament play, both out of town and at the local tournaments held this fall and winter at the fitness center. We'll keep you posted.
