Katie Leigh Byrd

Mrs. Katie Leigh Byrd, 26, of Blairsville, Ga., died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, August 28, 2006.

Ms. Byrd was born Monday, June 30, 1980 in Jefferson County, Missouri. Katie attended Blairsville Church of the Nazarene, and had lived most of her life in Blairsville. She loved to laugh, loved art and painting, and music. Katie had attended Union County High School, where she had been a member of the Union County High School Band. Katie was a loving wife and mother. Her sister, Korie Byrd, passed away in 1999.

Survivors include her husband, Victor Lopez; son, Victor Manuel Lopez, both of Blairsville; mother and father, Julia and

Thomas Lynch of Young

Harris, Ga.; sisters, Kittie Lea Byrd of Atlanta, Ga., and Kenna Leah Mata of Young Harris; and other family and friends, several aunts, uncles nieces,

nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the
