Jean Hamburger is Union County Lion of the year

President Ken Castle of the Union County Lions Club is pictured awarding the 2005/2006 Lion of the Year plaque, to Lion Jean Hamburger. Lion Jean was inducted into the Union County Lions Club in April of 2002 where she has been most active in all the Club's fund raisers as well as serving on the Board of Directors; the membership Committee; Social Committee; is a past Secretary; has sponsored several new Lion members; has received 100% attendance pin each year; been active in District Lion as well as State Lion functions and meetings.

Even prior to becoming a Lion member, Lion Jean supported Lionism by attending State Lion Conventions and District 18-D meetings for many years. Lion Jean has been a driving force in getting Union County Lions to visit other Lions Clubs in District 18-D.

No Union County Lion receives any monetary compensation for the many, many volunteer hours given in the name of Union County Lions Club. Motto: We Serve.
