Boy Scout Troop 101 receives funds from Rotary

T Bentley (R) and Brady Kumler present Rotary check to Joe Garner.
The Rotary Club of Union County raises funds each year for their international work around the globe and in support of local groups in Union County. The club is proud to help support the activities and education of the area's youth through the work of local Boy Scout Troop 101. Troop 101 is chartered by the National Council BSA to the First United Methodist Church of Union County and has 18 active youth and 17 adults who serve as council members and advisors.

Joe Garner, Superintendent at the Georgia Mountain Research and Education Center and Scout Master of Troop 101, was presented a check from two of the youth whose fathers are Rotarians in Union County. Presenting the check to Joe Garner was Brady Kumler and T Bentley, both Tenderfoot Class Scouts. Joe stated that he is pleased to have an association with Rotary through the Scouts and looks forward to using the contribution to further the active outdoor program. The Scouts and leaders of Troop 101 thank the Union County Rotary Club for their generous contribution.
