NARFE contributes to Alzheimer's

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees set a goal in 2000 to raise $5 Million dollars for Alzheimer's Research in five years. This goal was met in 2004 so the committee extended the challenge to raise $7 Million by 2007. So far, members nation wide have contributed over $6,410,169 toward this goal. 100% of all contributions go to Alzheimer's research. Chuck Haines is the coordinator for the Brasstown Bald Chapter of NARFE and brings the members up to date at the monthly meetings as to the progress and new developments being made in the research.
