Buckaroo days

Double C Stables Boarding and Training Facility, of Blairsville, Ga. proudly presents Budkaroo Days for Cowboys and Cowgirls, 5-12 years old. There will be two dates for Buckaroo Days, so be sure to get in on the fun!

First Buckaroo Day will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2006 with pre-registration required by Monday, Sept. 11, and the second Buckaroo Day will be held on Saturday October 7, with pre-registration for it required by Monday, Sept. 25. Both Buckaroo Days will be held from 10:00am1:30pm with lunch being provided.

Learn basic Horsemanship skills: Safety, proper leading, mounting, dismounting, proper hand position, balance in the saddle on a horse, simple ques for movement, ques for stopping, helping feed and water the horses, grooming basics and more. There will also be a Cowboy and Cowgirl picnic lunch, games, learning to lasso, scavenger hunt, certificates, plus get a free t-shirt!

The cost is $40 per child ( discounts for siblings). Pre-register by calling (706) 745-7520 after 5 pm, or leave a message on the machine, or by e-mail at doublecs@doublecstables.com

Registration is limited to 12 children per day... so be sure to register as soon as possible.

Double C Stables is located approximately eight miles south on Hwy. 515, turn right on Hwy. 325/Nottley Dam Road; turn right on Confidence Church Road, and take the 2nd dirt road on the right, which is Apple Valley Road West. The first road on the right is the stables' entrance. Double C Stables offers full and pasture boarding, training, lessons, and horses for lease. Check them out on the web at www.doublecstables. com.
