John Dewey Spiva Mr. John Dewey Spiva, 77, of Eufaula, Ala., died Wedneday, August 23, 2006, at his home. Graveside service will be held Friday, August 25, 2006 at Fort Michell National Cemetary at 12 pm CDT and will be officiated by Johnny Gilmore. Mr. Spiva was born October 20, 1928 in Blairsville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Gardner and Ethel Spiva. He was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian S. Dillard. A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Spiva retired from Meed after thirty-five years of service. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Spiva; son, Ricky (Pam) Spiva of Eufaula, Ala.; daughter, Becky (Gerald) Cook of Clayton, Ala.; sister, Geraldine Elmore of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; brother, Royce Spiva of Clinton, Tenn.; granddaughter, Nicole (Steve) Hawkins of Eufaula, Ala.; grandsons, Lee Spiva of McDonough, Ga., Page McDonald of Eufaula, Ala., and Jeremy Duke of Auburn, Ala.; great-granddaughter, Shalby Hawkins, also of Eufaula.
