Turner addresses Kiwanis Club

Mary Turner, having travelled extensively overseas for Eastern Airlines and the United States Government, brought a very interesting program to the Kiwanis Club of Blairsville, explaining the non-violent mindset of Islam and that religion's emphasis on moderation.

She further explained the mindset of the three major terrorist groups, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah and Hamas. Hezbollah and Hamas vow to destroy Israel and Al Qaeda to terrorize the west, in particular the United States and her allies. Some of these terrorist groups have become more powerful than the governments of the countries in which they are based. All claim to be doing the will of God.

Ms. Turner traced the roots of the Arab - Israeli tribal conflict to biblical times, when Ishmael and Esau, having split from their Hebrew heritage, became the founding

fathers of the Arab nations,

beginning a continuing animosity towards the Jewish nation.

The Kiwanis Club of Blairsville is dedicated to serving and supporting young people in the immediate area around Blairsville through numerous projects.
