BSA Troop 101 rafts Nantahala River

On July 20, 2006, nine members of BSA Troop 101 went down the Nantahala River in Bryson City, North Carolina. In the heat of July, the cool refreshing white-water was a welcomed get-a-way. In an effort to utilize more of the bountiful water resources here in the southern Appalachian Mountain, BSA Troop 101 would like to plan other water activities similar to the whitewater trip. Trips to the Okefenokee Swamp have even been rumored!

The Troop hopes to make these water activities possible, but needs some very important

equipment, canoes and accissories! BSA Troop 101 by donating a canoe, canoe trailer, or money for the purchase of canoes is urged to call Terry Legg at (706) 745-1535 or John Preston at (706) 745-9513. Thanks for your anticipated support!

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Be sure to ask your local Boy Scout to recite the Scout Oath and Law for you.
