4-H Diaper Drive a huge success

The Union County 4-H Club has worked hard for many months to raise money to purchase diapers for the Women's Enrichment Center. Over all we raised over $240.00 by doing a carwash/bake sale, numerous bake sales at other various 4-h functions and through the generous donations left in jars around town. Thanks again to Mikes Seafood, Harbins Drycleaners, North Georgia Trading Co., and Nelsons Store and Nursery for allowing us to keep the jars at your store.

On August 10th, members of the club purchased approximately 1,264 diapers and delivered them to the center. Executive Director Chris Scoggins and staff were very appreciative and we had a great time doing it. The center's credo is "Helping Women Make A Choice They Can Live With." The center offers an abstinence program, child birth and parenting classes, free ultrasound and pregnancy tests, clothes and baby items, as well as counseling.

Thanks again to all the members of the club for participating in the fund raisers throughout the year and making what we did possible!
