The Foothills Ramblers

The Foothills Ramblers are a traditional bluegrass group that is based in Westminister, South Carolina. They have a new CD with the same name as the group, and are becoming increasingly popular as they expand their playing venues.
Josh Laws, the spokesman for the group, plays banjo and does backup vocals; Virgil Owens plays doghouse bass and does backup vocals; Louis Broome is the lead vocalist and plays rhythm guitar; Phillip Hoivea plays lead guitar and does backup vocals; Ken Wilbanks plays mandoling and does backup vocals.
The Foothills Ramblers concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night, September 1st in The Old Courthouse on the Square in Blairsville. The concerts in The Old Courthouse are presented by The Union County Historical Society as a public service and to continue to tradition of music that began over one hundred years ago in The Old Courthouse. The musicians donate their time and talents. There is no required admission fee, but voluntary donations to the Historical Society are always welcomed and appreciated.
