In their second outing of the season the JV Lady Panthers picked up where they left off in their rained out opener against White County, scoring fast and furious en route to a 17-4 win over North Hall.
"They had a good game," said Head Coach Jessica Stewart. "Billie Odom pitched great. She had a good many [strikeouts.]" Offensively the Panthers had a strong outing while being helped by fundamental mistakes from the opposition. The team got out to a big start, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first. North Hall responded with a pair in the second inning, but in the bottom half the Panthers doubled up their own total from first inning, sending eight runs across the plate to effectively put the game out of reach at 12-2. Kristian Burks and Rachel Pope each had triples in the game.
The coach noted that even in an overwhelming win, there is always room for improvement, and the team could still use work on the defensive front.
