Hollis Crayton Conn

Mr. Hollis Crayton Conn, 92, of Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Jackson, Miss., died Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at Heritage Health Care of Blue Ridge in Blue Ridge, Ga.

Mr. Conn was born Tuesday, February 10, 1914 in Lincoln County, Miss., to the late Benjamin Cornelius Conn and the late Carrie Drummond Conn. Mr. Conn was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as an accountant for most of his life with Luzianne Coffee Company, and also with H & R Block. He was a member and choir member of First Baptist Church of Jackson. Mr. Conn was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Brock Conn, in 1993; sister, Etta Mae Smith; and grandson, Michael Reed.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Mike Reed, of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Tommie McHale of Montana; and brother, J.B. Conn of Melbourne, Fla.

Graveside services were held Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 11 a.m. from the East Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Cliff Nelson officiating.
