Attention Anglers and Hunters

The number of anglers and hunters in Georgia continue to decline at an alarming rate. Only three per cent (3%) of Georgians now hunt compared to 10% just 20 years ago. Georgia's booming population and the fact that Georgia is now considered an urban state are both major contributors to the loss of angler and hunter numbers.

Col. Terry West and LTC Homer Bryson with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Section will present

a program concerning current angler and hunter population trends. The program is sponsored by Cooper's Creek Sportsmen and it will by Tuesday, Sept. 5, 7:00 p.m. at the Union County Civic Center. Refreshments will be served.

All sportsmen are encouraged to attend so together we can secure a future for the hunters and fishermen of Georgia. For more information, please call Troy Hughes (706) 781-7167 or Keith Herbert (706) 745-8157. You can also visit our web site at www.cooperscreeksportsmen.com.
