ArtWorks Extravaganza at Brasstown Valley Resort

On September 16, 2006 at 6 p.m. the Mountain Regional Arts & Crafts Guild will hold their first annual fundraiser, called ArtWorks Extravaganza, with a sit down dinner, dance and silent auction in the beautiful ballroom of Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris. Door prizes from local businesses will start the evening off, followed by the silent auction. Over 30 highly talented and trained local and regional artists have donated their work for the silent auction. Many of the artists will be there to answer questions and to explain their work. Items to be auctioned off include original paintings, stained glass, beautiful handmade jewelry, a quilt, a 15 piece cutlery set, hand-woven baskets, a leaded glass window pane and much more!

Dinner will be prepared by the excellent chefs of Brasstown Valley Resort and will include Salad, a combination of Filet Mignon and chicken, red skinned mashed potatoes, broccolini, rolls and butter, iced tea, coffee and marbeled cheesecake. A cash bar will be available.

After dinner DJ James Hooper from Blue Ridge will entertain with a variety of music, so you can dance the night away. Cocktail or formal attire will make this evening even more memorable. Come and join the Mountain Regional Arts & Crafts Guild for this wonderful event.

Tickets are $65 per person and are for sale at the Chambers of Commerce in Hiawassee (Towns County) and Hayesville (Clay County) ,as well as the Bank of Hiawassee in Hiawassee and Deb Collins "Signature Gallery" in Hiawassee or by calling 706-896-0932. Mountain Regional Arts & Crafts Guild is a non-profit organization and all proceeds

will benefit their outreach and childrens programs of the ArtWorks Artisan Centre which will be opening in September 2006 on Big Sky Drive, above the Holiday Inn Express in Hiawassee.
