Tri-County Junior Golf Association

The Tri-County Junior Golf Association kicked off the 2006 year with a rules seminar for all the junior players. The Ridges Conference Center hosted the event which was attended by over 110 people.

During the seminar, proper etiquette of the game of golf as well as fundamental rules for the playing the game were discussed.

Steve Gonyea, President of the TriCounty Junior Golf Association and Golf Course Superintendent of Brasstown Valley Resort, was very pleased with the turn out.

Steve noted that we have a filled slate this year with 75 junior players: 8 boys at 15-17, 11 boys at 13-14, 13 boys at 11-12, 16 boys at 10 and under, and 14 boys at 8 and under. There are two girls divisions with 8 girls at 10 and under and 5 girls at 11-14.
