June Eileen Lance

Mrs. June Eileen Lance, 77, of Loving Rd., Morganton, Ga., (Union County), died Friday, August 11, 2006 in Jasper, Ga., following injuries received in an automobile accident.

Mrs. Lance was born June 24, 1929 in CarrickOn-Seiuer Ireland, the daughter of the late John Daly and the late Helena Ryan Daly. Eileen was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and especially her many flowers. Mrs. Lance was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving Mrs. Lance is her loving husband of 59 years, Vernon Hugh (Hugo) Lance of Morganton; son and daughter-inlaw, Anthony and Judy Lance of Copperhill, Tenn.; sister and brother in-law, Ann and Alex Richardson of Ireland; sisters-inlaw, Lea Daly of Australia, Maude Deweese of Mineral Bluff, Ga., Opal Poteete of Smyrna; several nieces, nephews and many other

relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel.

Special music was presented

by Harold Lee.

Pallbearers were Lewis Deweese, Ronnie Deweese, Johnny Glore,

Grady Williams, John Little and Jeffery Holden. Honorary pallbearers were Matthew and Adam Dockery. Interment followed in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery.
