Alice Ester Ferrand

Mrs. Alice Ester Ferrand, 89, of Wesley Mtn. Drive, Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Haines City, Fla., died Sunday, August 13, 2006 in the Union County Nursing Home following a brief illness.

Mrs. Ferrand was born Oct. 20, 1916 in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of the late Charles Pagel and the late Ella Altman Pagel. Before her retirement she served as secretary and city clerk for the City of Winterhaven, Fla. Mrs. Ferrand was of the Lutheran faith.

Surviving Mrs. Ferrand is her daughter, Karen E. Simpson of Winterhaven; son, Gary Thomas of Clearwater, Fla.; her dear friend, Don Willmot of Blairsville; many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date

and will be announced. In
