Public Notice
State-wide water restrictions prohibit watering 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Homes and businesses with odd-numbered addresses may sprinkle their lawns, fill swimming pools and use water outside for other purposes on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Those with even-numbered or unnumbered addresses are limited to Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

There are no hourly limits. Car washes, plant nurseries and golf courses are exempt. Cities and counties can set their own watering schedules, but they must be as restrictive as the state's.

Resources are strained on the coast, where there is a moratorium on new wells, and in southwest Georgia, where farmers can't get new irrigation permits. The limits are intended to help metro Atlanta's water supply last through 2030. No watering 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
