On the move at the PARC Peachtree Athletic and Rehab Center (The PARC) is proud to announce the addition of two new employees. Holli Johnson is the new director of the PARC, and Joyce Bernier is the new certified personal trainer. Therapy Department and PARC Manager Vance Ingle is excited to have Holli and Joyce on his team. "Holli and Joyce both have great people skills" states Ingle. "Holli has experience in customer service and will be a terrific asset to the PARC. She enjoys working with people and is a goal-oriented self starter who is anxious to make a difference at the PARC." Holli attended school in Murphy and is glad to be back in her community. "I want the PARC to be a friendly supportive environment for all of our members. I don't want people to look at working out as a chore, but a sweet reward. It is a pleasure to work with people and help them become stronger individuals by exercising and staying healthy." Joyce Bernier is no stranger to the gym. She has been a longtime member and is a passionate fitness teacher for all ages. Joyce is a certified personal trainer through International Fitness Professional Organization. She also holds certifications in Nutrition Management, Sports Nutrition, and Advanced Personal Training. She has placed first in many body building contests. Mr. Ingle is pleased that Joyce is such an enthusiastic part of the team. "Joyce is available daily to teach new members the proper form and techniques in working with weight machines and free weights. She is available from 9:00 AM 3:00 PM each day, 6:00 PM 8:00 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 5:00 PM 7:00 PM on Fridays." Joyce's enthusiasm about fitness is catching. "I have probably lost and gained at least 300 pounds since I was 16 years old. Once I really got serious about my health, I was ready to make drastic changes in my life. Commitment and dedication now help me to live a healthy lifestyle, and I want to help others achieve the same." The PARC is owned by Murphy Medical Center, and is considered an extension of the Physical Therapy Department. Located at 3904 Highway 64 East, the PARC has over 700 members.
