VOICES

Teachers' aid

I think it's great that Gov. Perdue provided assistance to Georgia's teachers by giving them $100 debit card for classroom supplies. Too often teachers spend their own money on things that should be provided by the school.

Government gives back?

Thank goodness for government help. Four days with no taxes really helps us parents. Why can't it always be like this? They waste too much of our money already.

Mel votes 'yes'

Who cares about Mel Gibson and his drunken rant? He was drunk and driving. Let's ask Hollywood to focus on THAT instead of his personal feelings. Everyone feels a certain way about things. Most of us just keep it to ourselves. Can we get that alcohol vote again? Clearly alcohol makes people do smart things.

Got gas?

Fill up now because it sounds like prices are about to go through the roof...again. It may not be long before $3 per gallon sounds good.
