Cardiovascular Screening opened to public

For one day only, August 12 from 7 a.m. to noon, the public is invited to attend the first joint regional Cardiovascular Screening offered by Murphy Medical Center and Missions Hospitals, Asheville. This Cardiovascular Screening will offer lab work, individualized counseling and educational sessions, blood pressure, BMI, and important

information on cardiovascular risk factors and how to reduce your risk for stroke and diabetes.

These immediate-result screening will include a finger stick to measure Cholesterol and blood sugar values as well as LDL, HDL and Triglycerides. (Fasting after midnight is required.) The first 100 registrants are

eligible for a reduced rate of $18 for these screenings.
