Plant Rescue for the Homeowner Living in the Southern Appalachian Mountains is a privilege. "Old timers" and "new comers" alike are touched by the natural beauty and sense of peace found in this ancient land. Our mountains and forests are home to a startling diversity of plant life which must be preserved for us and for future generations. Come to this seminar to learn about 1) the unique eco-systems found in our mountains, 2) the plants that live in each eco-system and how to protect, transplant and/or propagate native plants and 3) how to establish a private botanical sanctuary on your property. Each of us can make a difference as we plant and preserve native species in "our own backyards." Our Speakers Jennifer Cordier, Karin Rutishauser, Elaine Delcuze, and Jim Smith Jennifer Cordier has been studying and teaching classes in organic gardening, herb gardening and native plant medicine making for the past 15 years.
