Tom Brownback of The Home Depot addresses Kiwanis Club

Tom Brownback, Human Relations Manager of the Blairsville Home Depot visited the Kiwanis Club of Blairsville on July 24th and gave a very interesting presentation on his company. According to Brownback, Home Depot has become the 14th largest retailer in the United States, with over 2,000 stores and some $81.5 billion in annual sales.

Brownback said that an important emphasis for his company is customer service. The Blairsville store has 120 associates working in various

capacities around the clock, and has an annual payroll of $2.7 million going into our local economy. Home Depot believes in supporting community projects, and has recently completed a landscaping project to beautify the Woody Gap School.

The Kiwanis Club of Blairsville is dedicated to serving and supporting young people in the immediate area around Blairsville through numerous projects. The Kiwanis Club meets at the Cobb Mill Restaurant in Blairsville at 12:00 noon each Monday. Come join in the fun with us! For more information
