Galbreath wedding anniversary

Ruel and Patti Galbreath are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Married on August 5, 1956 in Hollywood, Florida, Patricia Anne Fullenwider Galbreath and William Ruel Avery Galbreath, Jr. are seasonal residents here in Blairsville, Georgia and Fruitland Park, Florida.

Patricia Fullenwider Galbreath, known to all as Patti, is the daughter of the late Ollie B. Fullenwider, former longtime resident of Blairsville and the late Margaret Dover Fullenwider Aderholdt. The Fullenwider family continues to be active in the business community of Blairsville.

William Ruel Avery Galbreath, known to all as Ruel, is the son of the late William Ruel Avery Galbreath, Sr. and the late Geneva Beck Galbreath, both of Florida.

Patti and Ruel were high school sweethearts, having met at South Broward High School in Hollywood, Florida. Both later attended the University of Georgia where Ruel played football. They became teachers, with Ruel teaching horticulture and flora design and Patti teaching English, both at

Nova High School in Davie, Florida. After long and illustrious careers, they retired from the Broward County School System in Florida. They have maintained a seasonal home in the Blairsville area for over twentyseven years, where they enjoy gardening, fishing and retirement.

Patti and Ruel are the parents of two daughters, Kimberly Galbreath Fleming and Kathi Galbreath Melgarez and they have two grandchildren, Dawn whitmire and Sean Melgarez. They also have grandson-in-law, LaVell Whitmire, a foster grandson, Andrew and son-in-law, Jeff Fleming.

The family will be celebrating their anniversary with a dinner at Brasstown Resort. Their loved one and friends want to wish them both a Happy 50th Anniversary and wishes for many more to come.
