Ask Robin
Harvest of self
Robin Radcliffe

A friend and I had lunch last week and we began discussing gratitude. She indicated that she was worried about money. She went on to say that even though her bills always seem to get paid, the money waited until the last minute to come in. Many of us experience this. Most of our needs are taken care of but it's uncomfortable to have to wait up to the last moment of delivery. Of course we are all grateful for what we have. But is it true gratitude if we can only feel grateful for only the abundance that manifests?

My thought is this: TRUE gratitude includes being grateful for what we don't have as well as what we have. Gratitude is the patience and the knowing that what we receive and when we receive it is THE WILL OF HEAVEN. We can ask until we are blue in the face but if it's not right action within the plan of the Spirit, the "extra" will not come. Having faith that your abundance will come at the right time and in the right way will pave the way for gratefulness.

The time of Harvest does not come before the preparing of the ground and planting of the seeds. We must cultivate with care and when the season is ripe we may have ALL what we desire.

There's an old story about a farmer who was so eager for his crops to grow that he went out at night and tugged at the new shoots. There is no way to hasten the harvest anymore than you can push a river.

Be mindful that patience and gratitude is essential for the recognition and acceptance of your own process, which will lead to not only abundance but even greater.... the Harvest of the Self.
