Folk School auction

John C. Campbell Folk School's annual Benefit Auction will be held Friday, August 18 and will be led by auctioneers Tim Ryan and Bob Grove. Auction proceeds benefit the Folk School.

The event will be held from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the Keith House on the Folk School's campus, with a preview of art and silent auction conducted from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.

One-of-a-kind handcrafted items donated by instructors, students and friends of the Folk School will be auctioned, including pottery, ironwork, basketry, wood items, dolls, paintings, weavings, rugs, jewelry, and furniture.

Jan Davidson, Director of the Folk School, will emcee the Benefit Auction.

The John C. Campbell Folk School offers over 800 classes each year in traditional and contemporary craft, art, music, dance, cooking, gardening, nature studies, photography and writing. Founded in 1925, the Folk School is a national landmark on the National Registry of Historic Places. In addition to classes, it features a Craft Shop with the juried work of over 300 local and regional artists as well as a History Center.
