Hiawassee Square concert
Get set for an entertaining jazz concert this Saturday night, August 5 from 6-8 p.m. on the Hiawassee Square. Elder statesman of jazz piano, Joe Leone, and his group will be the stars of our show, along with the talented JoAnne Leone. This musical family is a real treat to experience, mixing great jazz with stories and humor. Other special guests include singing sensation Jerry LeValley, with his beautiful "crooning" vocals of Sinatra hits. Then, a special appearance by "Liza," as performed so unbelievably realistic by Holly Massman of Blairsville. Also coming in to perform from Richmond, Va. is the Leone family friend and super vocal talent, Linda Stough. Linda performed at the very first "Enchanted Music on the Square" and we are thrilled to have her back with us again. And of course, Joe's friends, "The Vintage Notes," with Doug Davenport, Dr. Doug Nuelle, and Delilah Davenport on vocals will be the evening's main performers.
So bring your lawn chair or blanket, your family and friends and your canine friend (on a leash, please!) Call 896-0598 after 2 p.m. on Saturday, to hear if weather has cancelled the concert. Enchanted Music on the Square is produced by the OTM Committee, Inc., a non-profit group
dedicated to providing music, entertainment and events in Towns County. OTM's Joan and Jim Nolin will be selling ice cream, hot dogs, and beverages. Enchanted Music t-shirts are also for sale. Free concert schedules and Visitors Guides are available.
