It was good to see Governor Sonny Perdue take the time to campaign in our rural area. Too often we get neglected because we don't have a large population. I am glad that the Governor cares about the values of everyone in our state.

Give 'em Hecht? Give me a break.

Greg Hecht, Democrat candidate for Lieutenant Governor, has to have the corniest campaign in recent memory. I can't recall his standpoint on any single issue. He should concentrate less on his idiotic slogan and tell voters where he stands.

Tons to do

This past weekend was a great time to be in north Georgia. The Butternut Creek Festival was full of talented artists and their beautiful work. The Georgia Mountain Fair also showcased plenty of art from local and non-local vendors, not to mention the rides, food, animals and many other attractions. My family had such a great time, we can't wait until next year!

D.U.I. again?

I become enraged when I read the arrest report each week and see so many D.U.I.s, especially the ones with two and three offenses. Obviously we need harsher penalties so we have fewer repeat offenders. It makes me sick. And it also reminds me why I voted "no."
