Dorothy Mae Hendrix

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Hendrix, 75, of Morning View Place, Blue Ridge, Ga., formerly of Smyrna, Ga., died Saturday, July 22, 2006 at her home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Hendrix was born May 3, 1931 in Atlanta, Ga., the daughter of the late Wynfred Armstrong and the late Mary Beason Strong. She retired from the Cobb County School System in 1991 as a Food Technician with over 20 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Harold Hendrix in 1996; and by a son, David C. Hendrix in 1991. Mrs. Hendrix was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mrs. Hendrix is her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Ken Shipp of Smyrna; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Dorothy Hendrix of Ellijay, Ga.;

four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and

friends also survive.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish,

the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs.Hendrix's memory.
